Les parfums ne font pas frissonner sa narine;
Il dort dans le soleil, la main sur sa poitrine
Tranquille. Il a deux trous rouges au côté droit.
Arthur RIMBAUD, Octobre 1870
LE DORMEUR DU VAL
It is a green hole, where sings a river,
Madly hanging on the Grass silver
Rags; where the sun, from the proud hill
Shines: it's a small valley, fizzing beams .
A young soldier, mouth opened, bare-headed,
Nape soaking in the fresh blue watercress,
Sleeps; he's lying in the grass, under the skies
Pale in his green bed,with light poured.
The feet in the gladioli, he snoozes. Smiling
Like a sick child would smile, he's sleeping:
Nature, rock him warmly, he's cold.
The fragraces do not make his nostrils thrill;
He rests in the sun, one hand on the chest
Peaceful. He has two red holes on the right side..
I agree with the angles! But there's something that caught my attention, you have a little smile I guess, or maybe that's how your lips are shaped. Overall it's awesome.
interesting concept. I like the lighting, it really captures the details. The bottom one isn't very convincing to me. His left arm seems a little bit too alive. I would have probably moved it so it was lying across his side or maybe on the other side of him so you don't see it in the frame. Nice job with the blood...that definately looks convincing. I really like the top one the best. I like how his face looks so pale. Nice job.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
