Ants - the other "sociable" specie on earth .


Kind of amusing. They are so little.

Taken individually they are so simple, so weak. Yet so powerful.

Could you imagine a human form carrying in its abdoment an acid bag thrice larger than its head, with a firing at distance system - and here i only deal with the most common kind of ant, what about the giant african ones, or the terrible fidjians ants, with their suicidng methode consisting into burrying there acid-turbocharged abdomen under your skin ? - jaws that are as long as the head is ( jeeze that would be cool for the pastas :p ), 6 arms/legs, and better than anything, two looooong antennas ( hey, I get a Wifi Hotspot over here ! Lol ) ?

That would be... terrible. In every senses of the word.

Ants will take over the world. Someday.

awesome focus ^_^ i love macro shots, hopefully i'll be able to save enough money from my miserable paychecks to buy a decent camera :)

and i agree, being an ant would be terrible, just terrible =P

tu as lu Les Fourmies de Bernard Werber ? ...les fourmies pourraient bien être les prochains maîtres du monde, oui... les fourmies et les carfards ! ces sales bêtes sont là depuis la préhistoire et résistent même aux radiations nucléraires... entre les deux, je préfère quand même les fourmies...
en tout cas, cette photo est impressionante de par la qualité de sa macro ! le contraste jaune/noir est vraiment très beau !

oui oui oui bien sur, j'ai dévoré dans un élan de trophallaxie culturelle la gamme des Fourmis de Werber... j'ai d'ailleurs sous le coude "L'ultime secret", son dernier roman...

héhéhé, j'en était sûr ! j'ai lu le premier livre, puis la série des Tanathonautes, L'empire des Anges, Nous les Dieux, et là ça fait des mois que j'ai commencé Le Souffle des Dieux, mais je n'ai plus le temps de lire... faudrait quand même que je me prenne une aprèm' pour le finir...
(tu croules tant que ça sous les comments ? ...pour moi ça commence tout doucement...)
